Member tools
Last updated: 24 September 2026
The Members page gives you tools to control a member's XP. You can change the XP of a member. You can also stop a member from earning XP for a time. This page tells you how these tools work. Most of these tools need the Premium plan.
Find a member
You find a member by the Discord user ID. There is no search by name. A name search needs a Discord permission that the bot does not use. To get a user ID, turn on Developer Mode in Discord, then right-click a member and click Copy User ID.
Change a member's XP
The Member XP tools let you change one member:
- Give. Add XP to the member.
- Remove. Take XP away from the member.
- Set to. Set the member's XP to an exact number.
You can also reset one member to zero. You can reset the whole server to zero. A reset cannot be undone, so use it with care.
XP timeouts
An XP timeout stops a member from earning any XP. This includes chat XP and quest XP. You choose a length of time, or you make it last until you lift it.
- A timeout does not change the member's level or tier role.
- A timeout only pauses new XP. The member keeps the XP that they have.
- You can lift a timeout at any time from the active-timeout list.
How to apply a timeout
- Open the Members page.
- Enter the member's user ID.
- Choose a length of time.
- Apply the timeout.
A member with the correct permission can also use the /xptimeout command in Discord.
Premium
The XP tools and the option to apply a timeout need the Premium plan. To lift a timeout is always free. So you can always undo a timeout, even without the plan.
